Come Dance for a Dream!

All parish youth ages 11-14 years old (in grades 6-8) are invited to the Sts. John & Paul Jr. Youth Group Charity Dance.

Proceeds from the dance will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of RI and the Giving Tree of the parish. The dance will take place on Saturday November 8, 2008 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm in the Fr. John V. Doyle school gym.  Cost is $5.00 to be paid at the door.  Refreshments will be provided free of charge. Bring a friend. See you there as we dance to make the dreams of others come true! The Jr. Group will meet at the Coventry Wal-Mart (food area door) on Saturday December 6, 2008 at 11:30am to shop for the items from the parish Giving Tree tags. After the shopping is finished, a wrapping party (with pizza and goodies) will be held at Mrs. Anita Patten’s home until 2:30pm.  Any donations of wrapping paper, ribbon, or tags are greatly appreciated. (please note the December 13^th pm meeting is cancelled).

The January 10, 2009 is tentatively scheduled for 6:30pm-8:30 pm in the Fr. Doyle school gym. If there is snow we may go to Yawgoo Valley instead for snow tubing. Stayed tuned for updates.

February 7, 2009 is when youth will have a chance to decorate and package Valentine’s Day cookies for the residents of one of our local  Health facilities (such as Haven Health or Woodpecker Hill). The events will take place in the Fr. Doyle school kitchen from 6:30-8:30pm. The cookies most likely be delivered the same weekend (Sunday 8^th). The time is still be decided.  Adult volunteers needed to assist in the decorating, wrapping and delivery.
